PASSAGE OF SELF
Rites of Passage Training and Sacred Women’s Work
(Previously known as our Level One Initiation)
This is Eclectica's primary foundational training for women and female-bodied people.
It is recommended and encouraged that all new students begin their journey here.
Participants of this course will be guided through various rites of passage initiations over 16 transformational weeks, that will refine and cultivate a stronger sense of self while harnessing the power of authentic expression through the mediums of visionary dance, ritual and sisterhood.
Each module we explore will be integrated through intention-based movement and choreography, performed at our end-of-semester concert. The journey is a deeply transformational experience that provides pathways of self-actualisation and liberation from the patterns and belief systems that are not serving to one’s highest capacity to thrive.
Our philosophy explores the realms of healing and evolution through various initiations that tend to the cracks in our personal foundation and essentially support, nurture, and hold women and womb-bodied people on their journey of feminine maturation.
Our school is a gateway to freedom, remembrance, and personal power. It is a sacred container to support you to return to your truest nature, reclaim your inner gifts, and ignite the fire in your soul - lighting the way on your path of purpose and meaning.
Built on the foundations of self-love, sisterhood, and the reclamation of our raw feminine power - Eclectica School of Womb-Craft and Sacred Dance Practices is a holistic dance school experience that delves into the roots and foundations of wombhood and rewilding. This course is open to ALL LEVELS OF DANCE from absolute beginner to those who have had formal training. No prior experience is necessary to participate in this course.
Calling forth all sisters who are here to make a change, break generational patterns and carve a path of liberation for the generations to come. Passage of Self is a 16-week foundational visionary dance intensive that explores healing through ritual, movement, somatic exploration, and reconciliation practices.
In this container, you will be guided into deeper states of intimacy with the many dimensions of your being, exploring your emotional intellect and evolution through practices and rituals that bridge the mind, body spirit, while cultivating a deeper sense of purpose, conviction and self-awareness.

Passage of Self is a foundational training that attends to fundamental passages within the timeline of our lives while exploring integrative practices that cultivate a stronger sense of resilience, authenticity, and embodied sovereignty. This body of work is designed to meet you where you are at, accommodating participants at various stages of their self-development journey. This body of work also caters to all levels of dance from absolute beginner to advanced.

The School term will finish with a mid-year concert where new and existing students will perform live dance transmissions that reflect the deep and transformative course content.
This will be an opportunity for you to be received in your most full-bodied expression and uninhibited aliveness by an electric crowd of supportive individuals who are there to support your expansion and fan your flame.
The Passage of Self Dance Piece is a celebration of your raw feminine power. Each student group from the Passage of Self Body of Work opens our concert in an electric and alive way - bringing their sassiness, sensuality, storytelling, and unique expression to the stage.

Location & Dates
This course runs in Melbourne over 16 consecutive weeks including a one-week break for labour day week and a one-week break for easter. Scroll down to see a more detailed description of semester dates.
Our next semester is commencing 10th of February 2025. You can secure your space by activating a payment plan or paying your tuition in full.
We will be running 2 x Student Groups for this particular body of work: A Monday night group and a Tuesday night group.

ADVANCED CHOREOGRAPHER, PLANT DEVOTEE FACILITATOR, TRANSPERSONAL COUNSELLOR:
Lahni has been deeply woven into the Eclectica Tapestry across the past 8 years, sharing her compelling choreography codes and seeds of wisdom with hundreds of women on their journey of self reconciliation.
Lahni studied Contemporary Dance in one of Queensland North's Premier Performing Arts School and is one of our lead facilitators and choreographers.
Her visionary eye within the realms of dance and strong guidance will support you in expanding as a dancer and opening up new neural pathways of movement, moving you beyond the ordinary to express your true potential as a contemporary artist.Lahni has also studied Transpersonal Counselling, and has a holistic understanding of Trauma and the Nervous System. Her extensive training in Plant Devotion, Ceremonialism, and Shamanism supports her in holding a multidimensional space for her participants to thrive.

Alana Woodward is an imaginative soul who is here to re-enchant you with your own creative magick.
A self professed nerd, Alana has spent the past decade training in various modalities to continue unlocking deeper levels of radical self expression in herself and others. Along the way she has become a Somatic Education Facilitator, Menstrual Cycle Coach, Archetypal Embodiment facilitator and is currently deepening her craft in Death Doulaship and Herbalism.
A lover of imagination, transformation, and the taboo - her facilitation often weaves themes of archetypal medicine with mythology, death work, eroticism, women's mysteries and ritual healing. Her workshop and retreat offerings this year have expanded into facilitating journeys in deep ecology and elemental alchemy, woven together with an animistic perspective.
Coming from a traditional conservative Sri Lankan family, Alana holds particular medicine in breaking ancestral chains tied to the suppression of asian and coloured feminine expression. She is no stranger to the underworld and shadow work, having journeyed deep to find her own keys in liberating women's erotic expression, body reconciliation, healing sexual trauma, and navigating the mother wound.
Alana has been co-creating and performing closely with the Eclectica core troupe for the past 8 years, spreading their magick across stages in Australia and around the world. She has been facilitating across the Eclectica school and prior courses for the last 5 years.
A long term burner and devotee of the transformational arts festival scene, you can find her in her happy place twirling in the dust to some filthy bass.

ELEMENTAL CEREMONIST, HOLISTIC COUNSELLOR AND CHANNEL OF ANCESTRAL LIGHT LANGUANGESince her childhood, dance was the most important part of Rochelle’s life.
Bring a coloured South African dance was the essence of her culture. It represents connection to others, self expression, play and history. Growing up Rochelle had a total of 12 years of dance training and fell in love with the diversity brings.
Rochelle has been dancing with Eclectica for the past 3 years this includes facilitating Passage of Self, dancing with the core troupe in the Home production and and travelling interstate and performing at boom festival.
As a facilitator Rochelle offers deep nurturing, authenticity, relatability and safety into the space. Rochelle also incorporates a sense of playfulness, laughter and cheekiness.
Rochelle’s offers individuals an opportunity to unleash their most authentic and vibrant selves. Her medicine allows for people to feel free enough to connect to the unique codes of their own spirit, therefore inviting them into the most aligned version of themselves.
Rochelle is in complete devotion to Eclectica and the tapestry of beings that feel drawn to receive its medicine.

REFUND POLICY:
This course is strictly non-refundable.
In the event of extreme crisis of illness participants may apply to transfer their course fees to a future course or training with Eclectica (either online or in person) OR privately sell their space to a friend. Note that is is your responsibility to find this friend, not Eclectica’s.
When securing your space, you agree to these terms and conditions and understand the following:
In the event of extreme crisis of illness participants MUST prove this by showing a Doctor’s Certificate or something of similar validity.
Transfered fees must be used within an 18month period.
Eclectica must be notified of any name changes at least 48 hours before intensive commencement.
Application to transfer fees due to crisis or extreme illness but be requested a minimum of two weeks before course commencement.
